Thanks for putting the list together Brian. This is very helpful.

Could you also add us to your list. We are a startup , but what we allow our users to do is not only search for jobs but also our recruiter database.

Getting trained at an institute is expensive, but very helpful none the less. You could opt for a boot camp course in a country where it would work out to be cheaper.

Those of you enjoying the comment in this article beware the snickering of your co-workers would get a laugh out of some recent advice from Penelope Trunk, a career 'visionary'.

Penelope Trunk once advised in an article on Yahoo Finance that workers do yoga in the bathroom while in the office. The readers on the Yahoo Finance forum made so much fun of her ridiculous advice that would certainly never work for men (least not if they go to the men's bathroom, which is often filthy beyond description...) that Yahoo had to take all the comments off and disable comments for that article.

Unless you are working for a large company that has their own gym, you're probably pretty much out of luck finding a quiet (clean) place where you could get some exercise.

MY OWN ADVICE (which I follow) is when you get up to walk around, to find some stairs and go up and down them. This (if you do the stairs two at a time and try to move quickly) does get your blood pumping but has the added advantage that it makes you look like a busy and dynamic executive, not like you're some flake who has trouble distinguishing appropriate behaviour in the workplace. Works even if you're wearing a suit! :-)

Every enterprise runs into integration issues. Whether they are looking for ways to leverage existing legacy technologies with new IT initiatives or dealing with company acquisitions and merging disparate together as part of that exercise, sharing information between various services and applications is an every day necessity. There are and always will be opportunities for individuals with the skills discussed.

Egonomics is so important. May I suggest that you check out the PostureJac? It teaches a very important mechanism for restoring alignment and acctivating or stretching vital postural muscles. Changing your self awareness about what is normal. If you feel it is good, you will want to return to it.
As an added bonus, the MyoPressers are really good on the contraction knots that develop from muscle tightness due to poor body position.
Check it out at www.posturejac.com
